Discipline Brand Identity

The logo designed for Sophie von Bülow Architecture and Design (SBAD) showcases a minimalist yet significant representation of her brand. The initials "SBAD" are cleverly arranged within a simple square shape, reminiscent of a floor plan, reflecting her expertise in architecture and design.

In addition to the logo, a pattern system generated by Carsten Nicolai has been developed to enhance the brand's visual identity. This pattern system represents Sophie von Bülow's adaptiveness while maintaining her signature design aesthetic. The patterns complement the logo and serve as a visual language that can be applied consistently across various brand materials.

In print, the patterns were created using a technique called "Relief printing." This method involves the three-dimensional transformation of the transferred layers of the embossing foil and the printed material. The design of the relief is determined by the surface shape of the embossing tool and the counter die.

By utilizing the this printing technique, the printed materials acquire a tactile and visually striking quality that adds depth and dimension to the brand's visual communication and perfectly captures the attention to detail and craftsmanship that Sophie von Bülow brings to her architectural and design projects.
